I think maybe they outsmarted the Nazis, until the point when Peter ran into the infantry soldier when he was burying the bullion. But nothing might happen because the infantry soldier was friendly with Peter. One reason is the infantry soldier is friendly with Peter is  because when he was putting up posters all over the school he we friendly with Peter when Peter ran into the infantry soldier at school. Also the soldier might not even do anything because he doesn’t really like what he is doing to Norway and the Norwegians. Maybe he will take his side and help Peter and everyone else instead of spilling the beans.

Peter, Uncle Victor and the others have outsmarted the Nazis. They have outsmarted the Nazis because most of the gold is on the boat and would be able to be shiped to America that the moment. They would capture the blue eyed private because he saw Peter hide the gold under the snowman and he won’t be able top tell the Nazis about the gold. They could tell the blue eyed private to not tell the rest of the Nazis because he was captured. In conclusion, Peter, Uncle Victor and the others have outsmarted the Nazis.

Peter, Uncle Victor and the others have outsmarted the Nazis. They have outsmarted the Nazis because most of the gold is transferred to Uncle Victor’s boat which will transfer the gold to America. Also, even though the blue eyed infantry soldier saw the gold they would capture the blue eyed infantry soldier to stop him from breaking the news to the Nazis. Also, if the infantry soldier escapes afterward it would still be too late because by the time he escapes the gold would have already been transferred to America. In conclusion, I think that Peter, Uncle Victor, and the others have outsmarted the Nazis.

I think that the rain would have changed the plan for bringing the gold to the cave. If the rain had happened then they will not be able to evacuate the gold and the whole plan would get spoiled. For example, if the Norwegians try to bring the gold to the cave then the Nazis will suspect something because the kids would not be able to sled. Firstly, a typical boy in Norway would either sled or ski just like a kid because there is so much snow in the region. Which made it so that they could bring more of the gold to the cave. But then, because of the snow, the plan changed and, everything started to get back to how the plan is supposed to be. And the boys started once again to evacuate the gold to the cave.

If the rain would have continued then the tracks for the pathway would have melted which would make it so the kids would not know which way to go for the cave and Uncle Victor’s boat! Then if they still have gold to drop off  then there is still gold in the country of Norway which the kids can’t hide. Then the Nazis will find the gold first then Nazis will get there money so they can have even more reinforcements to take over Norway!

In Norway 1940 if it kept on raining it would be a huge problem! For one reason rain could melt all the snow and they couldn’t go down the hill with the bullion becuase they don’t have snow. Also the Nazis would think it’s weird if they sled down with no snow. Another reason is they would not have another plan to bring the bullion to the ship without the Nazis catching them. Last reason is if it kept on raining it would be even harder to go down the hill with all the mud from the rain and easily slip, and would be even harder to get the bullion down

The weather is unusual so if the rain continued it would be hard for the children to do through the snow. The snow piled up in Norway to make it helpful for the kids move through the snow on their sleds. If the rain kept falling then the rain would mix with snow and make slush. First of all the slush would eventually melt and their would only be grass and sleds would be hard to pull through the grass. Second If the children were to carry the gold in their hands they could drop it or the Nazis could see it. Finally the sleds take a long time but carring the heavy gold will take more then to hours to go from the cave to Snake.

If the rain had continued in Norway I think the children would get caught because then all the snow would melt and some of them may slip on their sleds because the use sleds for the plan. Another thing that could have happened was that the snowmen may had gotten watery and melt and people would be able to see the gold.  The last reason is that if it rained more the plan wouldn’t even work anymore because there wouldn’t be anymore snow so you can’t sled and you can’t make snowmen. but they will have to find a new plan.

I think it was a very wise idea to have the kids put the gold into Uncle Victors boat. First Nazis would think that something would be suspicious if the adults sledded/went on skis then dropped off gold into a boat. But if kids did it the Nazis would think “oh it is just some normal kids sledding in Norway”. But on the bad side I think it would be a dangerous mission trying to hide gold from Nazis. Then having kids sacrifice their lives for their country.

I think that the decision was dangerous and clever. One reason I think it was clever because that way the Nazis don’t think that KIDS would be hiding kroner. I think it was dangerous becuase what if the Nazis caught the kids hiding kroner in the snowman. Another reason why I think it clever is if the do slide down a hill with kroner under there sleds it won’t be suspicious. And another reason for it was dangerous is the kids could have got hurt or even tortured!
